Colin Mathews, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Colin Mathews is a licensed therapist (LCSW) in the state of Georgia who works with adults, couples, families, and teens to address challenges like depression, anxiety, grief, compulsive behaviors including substance use, anger management, and relationship dysfunction. He believes that humans are inherently social animals who often suffer when they go it alone, but who can change and grow in partnership with a skilled clinician. He earned a Masters of Social Work from Georgia State University and has worked with people of all cultures, colors, ages, and identities in settings including hospitals, private practice, and jail.

Colin specializes in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, which blends an awareness of body and mind by harnessing the peace within us (through breathing and meditation) to help explore difficult feelings and emotions without reacting so strongly to them. He also uses solution-focused therapy, CBT, DBT skills, and is trained in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy using ketamine. Additionally, Colin is now certified in CBT-i; the use of CBT for the treatment of insomnia.
