Dr. Kierston Wiman, DNP, PMHNP, ARPN-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Kierston Wiman is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in providing mental health care for all ages, including adolescents, adults, and older adults. Dr. Wiman is able to diagnose psychiatric disorders and prescribe mental health medications, perform cognitive behavioral therapy, provide extensive education about your mental health, and develop a holistic, well rounded treatment plan to help you achieve mental wellness.
Dr. Wiman has worked in the mental health field since 2013 in various settings including community mental health, inpatient psychiatric treatment, and outpatient care. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults with a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, postpartum depression, addiction, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and dementia. Dr. Wiman is also able to perform psychiatric evaluations for bariatric surgery.
Dr. Wiman earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA. She was born, raised, and still resides in the West Georgia area.
When she is not working, Dr. Wiman enjoys travelling, family time, and spending time with her two german shepherds, Sammy and Bella.
